Dr. Hausman began his professional pursuits at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts. He subsequently enrolled at The New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. There Dr. Hausman excelled in the school, receiving the Walter Green Memorial Reward. He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1990.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Hausman completed a Podiatric Residency at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine’s Affiliated Hospitals which included Gouverneur Hospital, Coney Island Hospital,
and Beekman Downtown Hospital.

Dr. Hausman proudly holds membership in the American Diabetes Association, and Pi Mu Delta. He is also Board Certified by The American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

As a podiatrist, Dr. Hausman provides integrative and holistic treatments whenever possible. He approaches podiatric conditions both surgically and non surgically. He sets time aside to spend with each of his patients and develops personal treatment plans based on their unique symptoms and concerns.

Often Dr. Hausman recommends treatment with custom molded orthotics for many foot ailments prior to considering surgery. He dispenses both custom and non custom shoes and braces.

Dr. Hausman diagnoses and treats a variety of common foot and ankle problems, including ingrown nails, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, neuromas. nail fungus, warts, and Dr. Hausman is affiliated with Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital and Gramercy Surgery
Center both of which are located in Manhattan. Dr. Hausman performs surgery at both facilities.
