Plantar Fasciitis

What is Plantar Fasciitis?

Plantar Fasciitis is a common foot condition characterized by inflammation of the plantar fascia, the thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes. It’s a leading cause of heel pain, particularly noted for causing sharp pain in the heel with the first steps in the morning or after periods of rest. The condition is often related to excessive strain over long periods, which can cause tears and inflammation in the fascia. Risk factors include obesity, occupations requiring long hours on the feet, flat feet or high arches, and tight Achilles tendons or calf muscles.

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive, highly effective treatment designed to eliminate chronic plantar fasciitis without the need for surgery or injections. It works by delivering high-energy acoustic pressure waves directly to the affected tissue, stimulating your body’s natural healing process and increasing blood flow to the area.

This treatment is particularly successful for patients suffering from plantar fasciitis who haven’t found relief through traditional methods. Most patients experience significant pain reduction and improved mobility after just a few short sessions, allowing them to return to their daily activities and favorite hobbies faster.
